Self-Adhesive Material

Commercial thermal self adhesive label material is a multi-layer pressure-sensitive label stock consisting of a heat-reactive facestock, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and a release liner. When the facestock passes under a direct thermal printhead, localised heat activates the coating — forming high-contrast text, barcodes, QR codes or graphics — without any ink, toner or ribbon.

Because printing consumables are eliminated, thermal label material dramatically reduces operating costs and downtime in high-volume commercial labeling environments. Printing Recommendations

• Use direct thermal printers (Zebra ZT, SATO CL, Honeywell PM, TSC TTP series).
• Clean printhead regularly — dust or adhesive residue reduces image density.
• Set print speed and energy to match the thermal sensitivity class of the label stock.
• Avoid exposing printed labels to UV light, heat >60 °C, or chemical solvents, which degrade the image.
• Calibrate printer media settings when switching roll batches for consistent output.

Storage & Handling

• Store unopened rolls at 18 – 25 °C and 45 – 65 % relative humidity.
• Keep away from direct sunlight, fluorescent lamps and heat sources.
• Avoid stacking heavy objects on rolls — deformation causes feed problems.
• Use stock within 12 months of production date for optimal performance.
• Seal partially used rolls in original packaging between print runs.
